The first time we visited Ximu in Marsascala we did not know what to expect from this tiny place, but we need not have worried...
A look at the satisfied customers said it all and empty plates on the tables were already enough evidence.
I must admit that I'm a bit fussy and not very adventurous to try food. I ordered spaghetti with fresh sea urchins and after, local clams cooked in wine and garlic.
Simply delicious.
My husband was watching a number of people coming in to take away previously ordered home made lasagna and he was not at all sorry about his choice.
So next time you are around look up the number and give it a try. I can assure you that you will not regret it.
By the way Ximu is the broken version of the Maltese name XMUN which nearly all foreigners find difficult to pronounce hence Ximu Cafe Marsascala.
And please pass on our regards to Simon who will be cooking for you.

Yes, we've been to Ximu Cafe too and totally agree with you. It was very good.
